Dear quiz friends,

have you ever thought about what Moltkestraße, Stollwerck, Usambarastraße and Hohenzollernbrücke have in common?

Not only does the Hohenzollernbrücke connect the Schäl Sick (the eastern side of the Rhine) with the rest of Cologne, but also Cologne’s present with the colonial past.

Where can you still find traces of the colonial era in Cologne?

And what impact does that have on everyday life?

The Zugvögel invite you to test your knowledge in teams with a few drinks (and if you are good at it also with snacks 😉). The winning team gets a cool prize! And that’s not all: between tricky rounds of questions an exciting Poetry Slam awaits you!

The entrance is free!

Doors open from 7:45 pm. We play in teams of 4 but you are also welcome alone or as a small team! Translation into English, French and Spanish can be provided – just send us a message in advance (koeln@zugvoegel.org).

We are looking forward to seeing you there!

Who are these Zugvögel anyway? We were founded with the idea of reversing the classic voluntary service. Together with partner organisations in Nepal, Rwanda, Ecuador and Mexico we make voluntary services in Germany possible. We also take political action against racism and global injustice in a variety of ways.
